Senators Richard Blumenthal and Representative Robert Garcia co-chaired a hearing detailing allegations of systemic corruption, cronyism, and mismanagement of federal funds by the Trump administration.
This discussion focused on several “vanity projects” in Washington, D.C., and their impact on public institutions, veterans, and taxpayers.
Donald J. Trump, urbanized his office for profit, collecting over $2 Billion in his first year in office alone. His family is following suit, as they are looting billions more from the American taxpayer.
Trumps obsession with rebuilding DC as a monument to his own ego is happening as no president in American history has done before.
- The Reflecting Pool saga…
There is currently a $14 Million dollar renovation happening on the historical pool that’s plagued by algae and a bottom that’s chipping away and falling apart. It’s been drained twice in just 3 months for repairs. But the incompetence is staggering. On top of all the incompetence, they are putting the blame for the algae in the pool on a Olympian biker who stopped by the pool to check on the water, because it was the color green instead of blue. They have attempted to put this man in jail to cover up their shoddy work with contracts going to Donald Trump friends and donors. This is a complete disgrace and completely shameful.
2. The East Wing demolished…
There was barely any public notice for the demolition of the East Wing of the Whitehouse and to make way for what?
How about a Donald J. Trump ballroom that’ll cost up to $1 Billion funded by American taxpayers and shady corporate donations, so that Donald Trump and his family can host balls and dinners and galas for himself, and for his rich friends and donors. Presently, there are 200 workers rushing to finish the project, as they are working just about around the clock to finish the ballroom before the project gets shut down completely. Congress only has the right to authorize the tear-down of the East Wing, and Congress only has the right to authorize the build of anything at the peoples house, the White House. But Trump doesn’t follow rules, nor the Constitution. He makes rules as he goes.
3. The Trump takeover of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
The Kennedy Center is the only living memorial for President John F. Kennedy. Trump not only tried to take over the Kennedy Center board, as he installed himself as chairman, and then he does what he does best. He fires good people, then he put his name on the building, turning a cultural institution, a memorial to a great man, President Kennedy, into some sort of warp vanity project to himself. What a sicko.
Some of the courts are doing everything possible to stop these horrific and illegal and corrupt actions. He was ordered to remove his name, but has the building name covered and the place is closed. Many of the performers there have decided to quit, never to return.
4. A Triumphal Arch between Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery…
Reporters asked Trump who the arch was for, and his answer… “ME”…
I’m not making this up. In front of cameras, that question was asked, and he specifically stated that the arch was for “ME”. What other president in American history would have done such a thing? The answer is no other president, in the past and in the future’ if our democracy still stands after this felon president.
With Trump, it’s all about Me, Me, Me, Me, Me. It’s like nothing should be standing in Washington without his name on it. Trump is pathetic. He is a lonely man who is trying to turn America’s monuments into monuments for himself. And in the process, he’s destroying institutions and property that belong not to him and his family, but to the American people. He’s using our tax dollars without Congress’s permission.
He’s dishonoring our history, and he’s dishonoring our veterans. He dishonors the rule of law, and acts like a king, and is responsible to no one but himself.
He claims he wants to honor a former great president, while he’s dishonoring the American people. What makes this all unbelievable is that every single project is marked by corruption and actual incompetence.
He uses no-bid contracts, unqualified companies, including campaign donors, and blatant violations of the law halted by the courts, but doesn’t listen to courts. He loves lawsuits, as no other president in history has received as many as Trump for his acts of corruption.
Then he looks at himself, with an ego that reaches the moon and outwardly professes that he’s the biggest, most successful builder of all time. But then again, he can’t even refurbish a pool without the water turning green with algae.
Trump also likes to talk about vandals and crime in D.C. and all the vandalism that he sees wherever he goes. Anyone who is sane knows that the biggest vandal in Washington, D.C. is DONALD J. TRUMP.
He is corrupt.
He is incompetent.
He is ripping off the American taxpayer.
He is obsessed with himself and only himself, and he’s willing to destroy important American institutions for his own grievances and his own vanity and narcissism.
He literally destroyed the East Wing. He doesn’t care about real priorities of the American public.
In the next U.S. Congress, all of these things will get investigated. In my opinion, Donald J. Trump is looking at least a dozen impeachments in the future. But it’s up to the Senate to convict and remove him from office which requires 60 Senators voting to convict to be successful.
In the future when Democrats take control, hopefully of both the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, the investigations into Donald trump will commence. Congress will want to see the contracts, and the documents and communications, the payments the paper trails and find out who has been profiting from all of this corruption. It won’t be hard to find all the grift and waste.
The new Congress is going to be demanding of the facts. They will get their hands on evidence of corruption because it has costs. It has costs and consequences for everyday Americans.
The monumental waste of Donald J. Trump will be documented. Trump will own being the worst president in U.S. history. Even with his ‘immunity’ claims, he will eventually have to pay the cost for his crimes and corruption. Who knows, with Leticia James back on the warpath with Trump, his name may be removed from Trump Tower soon. He’s been already convicted of fraud in the case of that property before he became president a second time.
Since last November, more whistleblowers have come forward with documents that demonstrate even more corruption and self-dealing, from multiple no-bid contracts going to preferred contractors to rushed jobs that need to be redone to management telling staff to do whatever it takes and not to worry about the repercussions because we’ll deal with the lawsuits later. And to what end? All this waste occurred in the service of gratifying the President’s monumental ego.
Trump is already a lame duck president, and when Congress flips and lead by Democrats this November, it will be the beginning of the worst final two years any president could have in office.
