Trump is Concealing Defeat in the War with Iran

President Trump has pivoted to an economic pressure campaign dubbed “Operation Economic Fury” as his primary exit strategy, de-emphasizing direct military action and diplomacy in favor of a “wait-and-see” approach. Described by some aides as a “strategy of nothing,” this plan relies on tightened sanctions and a U.S. naval blockade to inflict sufficient financial pain on Iran to force negotiations without further U.S. casualties.

The administration hopes this slow squeeze will collapse Iran’s economy, allowing Trump to declare victory and lower energy prices before the November midterm elections. My friend Scott K. believes that this is what will cause Iran to surrender and concede to Trump’s demands.

Significant obstacles remain, as Iranian officials have stated they are prepared to prolong the war until Trump leaves office and continue to demand war reparations and control over shipping fees in the Strait of Hormuz.  While Trump claims the U.S. has “total control” over the Strait and might “keep it,” military strikes have failed to produce a quick resolution, and weapon stockpiles are dwindling.  Critics argue the President lacks the patience for a long-term economic strategy and faces a dilemma where neither escalation nor concession offers a clear path to peace. In three words, the war saga is “TRUMP IS SCREWED”.

The U.S. has no strategy on how to get out of the war. It is now turning out to be a forever war.

America, How Did We Get Here? What has Trump done?

Dealing with Donald Trump for the last six years now has been almost too much to bear. Do you remember when Kamala Harris warned that another Trump presidency would bring instability, higher costs, attacks on democratic institutions, and reckless leadership? Maga dismissed those warnings as exaggerated campaign rhetoric.

Now, as Americans deal with greater uncertainty, many of those warnings are sounding less like fear-mongering and more like a forecast. Trump said he will target and punish those who disagree with him or refuse to bend to his will. He’s been doing just that. He calls these Americans the enemy within and says that he would use the American military to go after American citizens. Journalists whose stories he doesn’t like. Non-partisan election officials who refuse to cheat by finding a few extra votes for him. Judges who insist on following the law instead of following him. It is for reasons like these that General Mark Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Donald Trump’s top general, has called Trump. and I quote, “fascist to the core.”

Vice-President Harris was going to give $20,000 if you were buy your first house. But the voters chose the “eating the cats and the dogs” guy.

“They’re eating the cats.” “They’re eating the dogs.”

That’s who you thought was a better choice. And now we’re at war and everything is more expensive. Great choice, right?

Back in 2024, do you remember what MAGA said? If you vote for Kamala Harris, gas is going to go up, groceries are going to get higher, and we’ll be at war with Iran within one to two years? And yes it happened. No, the election did not go in Kamala’s favor, but her prediction was right on. Trump is responsible for doing all those things.

Trump could give a rats ass about the American people in his second term, with presidential immunity given to him by a right wing court, and not having to worry about another election.  He’s not accountable to anyone, not even to his constituents.

Trump said he was going to put America first. Instead, he put Israel first, then he went to Venezuela , now we are in a war with Iran where I predict that Trump will commit war crimes. He’s claimed that he wants to take over Greenland. He claims he plans to hit Iran more than ever before. He will steal their oil. He will attack their infrastructure, bridges highways, powerplants and harm the citizens of Iran. It’s a war crime just to talk about it, but Trump may actually be doing it.  He’s already mentioned these facts  on video tape, and in writing.

Harris and other Trump critics raised concerns about tariffs, inflationary pressure, foreign policy instability, reproductive rights, executive overreach, immigration enforcement, and political retaliation. It’s all come true. She knew exactly what was in for the people if Trump was elected.

MAGA supporters, including my friend Scott K, laughed, and dismissed the concerns, and insisted Trump would bring lower prices, peace, and economic strength. The warnings were not hidden in complicated policy documents that nobody could find. They appeared in debates, interviews, campaign speeches, news coverage, and countless conversations before Election Day.

Voters were offered two very different versions of leadership. Harris emphasized stability, working family support, housing affordability, health care protections, and institutional responsibility. Trump emphasized disruption, punishment, loyalty, and confrontation. MAGA chose the spectacle. And now when supporters quietly disappear or pretend they never enthusiastically defended Trump, people remember.

Political embarrassment does not erase political responsibility. Kamala Harris was a prophet. Everything that she predicted Donald Trump would do, he has done in less than 18 months. He has started new wars. He has driven up inflation, not just at home, but global inflation as well. He has driven up energy prices. He is spiraling us into the biggest recession that anyone has ever seen since the Great Depression.

So tell me MAGA? Tell me Scott K. What did you get out of Trump so far since he’s been president for a second term?  First thought, he gave you a never-ending war in Iran.  What has he done to save lives? Almost two dozen soldiers are now dead because of his war with Iran. He got rid of programs like US AID, which saved thousands and thousands of lives worldwide, but now people are dying and why? It’s because he and DOGE killed the program. The Trump administration has terminated or defunded dozens of federal programs across health, science, education, housing, and foreign aid, often citing ideological opposition to “woke” research, diversity initiatives, or perceived waste.  Key eliminations include over a dozen CDC health-tracking programshundreds of millions in cancer research grants, and the withdrawal of U.S. funding from the World Health Organization. It’s like a nightmare that the American people have to live in real life.

What else did MAGA approve of when they voted for Trump? And they even knew ahead of time, but still elected a pedophile in the White House. You have an “Orange” man running rampant, gas prices are soaring, and now finally there are definite signs that MAGA is leaving him, along with the people in Washington.

What Trump voters could have instead of all the promises that Trump didn’t keep were $6,000 for your first child, $20,000 as your first home buyer, and universal healthcare for yourself.

Instead, you put a man in the White House who was hanging around Jeffrey Epstein, messing with underage girls.

MAGA supporters were not uninformed. They heard the warnings, they saw Trump’s first term, his legal controversies, his attacks on opponents, and his admiration for unchecked power. They decided those concerns mattered less than defeating Democrats, rejecting a woman candidate, or supporting someone who promised to punish the people they disliked.

So here’s where you come to a fork in the road. People can reconsider their politics. They can admit they were wrong. They can leave MAGA and help repair the damage. What they cannot reasonably expect is for everyone to forget the warnings they mocked or the harm they helped enable. Regret is meaningful only when it produces reflection and action.

I sincerely hope that my friend Scott K. in Wisconsin sees the light. I’m hoping one day he will admit he was wrong about Trump, and wrong to falsely criticize Harris and Obama . His Facebook page look like a billboard of hate for Obama and Biden.  I’ve thought about this long and hard. Over the years, Scott and I have been good friends, and we consistently talk to each other on the phone after working together. But the conversations have been getting harder and harder for me to stomach because texting and phone conversations seem to lean on the political side these days. I sincerely wished to visit Scott again this summer, but my intuition tells me that when we see each other this time, we would discuss politics and we are on total opposite sides of of fence with our confronting beliefs. That’s a recipe for disaster.

So unfortunately, I won’t be going to Wisconsin this year. Maybe when Scott finally sees the light and admits that Trump was bad for the country will I even consider visiting him again. And when I do, there must be no politics. I’ve always told him that people have the right to believe in the politics that they believe in. But to consistently support a criminal president, a sex offender, a fraudster, a war monger all in one is just too much for me to accept in a friend. And when he criticizes past Democratic presidents, that a step gone too far.

When Trump is gone, America will erase him from their memory, although it will be hard to do considering how much he harmed his own people, even his own party. Many people cannot and will never forget the harm he has done to the citizens of this country. But I predict all the gold will be gone from the White House. Future presidents will not want to be reminded of a past president that isolated America from its neighbors of Canada and Mexico and the whole world for that matter with his needless tariffs. Trump’s portrait will be removed from the White House. He will loose his top security clearance and will no longer be privy to classified documents. Court proceedings against Trump may resume. He may find himself arrested and on a plane to the Hague if he happens to travel to a county that would be obligated to arrest him and turn him over to Netherland authorities. Last count, there are 124 countries that would do just that.  If arrested, he would be charged with murdering citizens of countries he attacked, most likely Iran.

The Hague is the International Criminal Court (ICC) is the world’s first and only permanent international tribunal established to prosecute individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression. Often referred to colloquially as the “world criminal court,” it is headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, and began operations on July 1, 2002, under the Rome Statute.

Trumps Actions – Are they Legal, Like Tariffs and the Iran War

Regarding the war in Iran. Absolutely not. Congress voted that he must stop the war. But he hasn’t. In what is called a clock-reset, Trump started it again.

Regarding tariffs, absolutely not.

The US Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump’s sweeping global tariffs in a landmark 6-3 decision on February 20, 2026. The Court ruled that Trump exceeded his authority by using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to unilaterally impose tariffs, stating that Congress must explicitly delegate such taxing powers. This ruling invalidated the “reciprocal” tariffs and those targeting Canada, Mexico, and China over fentanyl concerns, which had been expected to raise roughly $1.5 trillion over a decade. Now he’s putting up a middle finger to the Supreme Court.

Regardless of what the Supreme Court ruled, Trump has decided to continue tariffs that he says are against foreign countries, but actually it’s the American people that feel the effects of the tariff, not the foreign countries, as consumers will have to pay more to get the foreign goods. The foreign countries are not going to loose money on what they deliver to the United States.

So what did Trump do to despise the Supreme Court and the rest of the world?

  • A temporary 10% global tariff was imposed under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, effective until July 2026.

  • New tariffs ranging from 10% to 12.5% were implemented in July 2026 against 60 trade partners under Section 301, citing forced labor concerns.

While the specific IEEPA tariffs were struck down, other duties imposed under different statutes, such as those on steel and aluminum, remain in place. Legal challenges against the new Section 301 tariffs have already begun, with critics arguing the forced labor justification serves as legal cover for the same trade agenda rejected by the Court.

Trump argues that the United States has made a ton of money on his tariffs. What he doesn’t tell you is that the American consumer must pay much more for the goods they were purchasing before he implemented them. So inflation is even getting worse.

Adding fuel to the fire you can say, Donald Trump started a war in Iran that he cannot end, at the cost of the American taxpayer. He was again told to stop his attacks, as the House voted that he must end the war. But what does he do? After a resolution signed by Iran and the United States, Trump tears up that document and re-attacks Iran once the time-clock was reset so that he could start his attacks once again.

So here are some of the results of Trump’s actions…

The price of gasoline has gone up, the stock markets continue to crash, Republican approval rating keeps dipping and a whooping is coming in the mid-terms. It’s like Trump knows it and doesn’t care. He’s taking his last laugh while he can.  In the mean time, he’s made billions of dollars as president, as no one ever before him ever has president.

Then in a last ditch effort to escape all accountability for the damages he has done as president, including committing war crimes, he has his  want-t0-be Attorney General Tod Blanche, come up with a document signed by him as an Acting Attorney General that basically states that Trump cannot be investigated, audited, or sued by the United States government in the future, by any government agency, like the Justice Department or IRS. Now why does he want to do that? Maybe because he realizes he can’t pardon himself.

Trump may escape a tribunal at the Hague for his war crimes, but presently the document signed by Acting Attorned General Todd Blanche  means no more audits of Trump and his companies. Trump would love that ! No more accountability for Trump.  It means that the people of the United States forfeit their rights to reclaim money he stole from us, the taxpayers.

Also as stated in a prior post on this website…

It means that we no longer have the right to sue him for any damages or to pursue really any legal recourse whatsoever against Trump.

It  means that it binds the United States forever, meaning it applies even after Trump and Blanche leave office.

And check this out. It’s not limited to just Donald J. Trump.

It signs away all of our claims against his companies, his family members, and his associates.

Has he done any thing else to hurt Americans?

Of course.  Trump wouldn’t be Trump unless he screws something up. Trump’s administration has continued to undercut the U.S. asylum program by implementing rules that allow asylum officers to send hundreds of thousands more applications directly to immigration courts, resulting in approval rates dropping to their lowest level in two decades.

President Trump’s recent policies have hurt Americans primarily through economic strain, reduced access to essential services, and heightened public health and environmental risks. His administration’s tariffs and trade wars have driven up prices for everyday goods, while cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and other safety-net programs have left millions with less health coverage and food assistance.

Economic uncertainty and job losses have surged due to erratic immigration enforcement, reduced H-1B visas, and mass deportations that disrupt key industries like agriculture, construction, and hospitality.

Meanwhile, federal workforce reductions—including over 220,000 job cuts since early 2025—have degraded services at the SSA, IRS, and VA, causing longer wait times and compromised data security.

Public health and environmental protections have also been weakened, contributing to disease outbreaks (including Cyclosporiasis and rising measles cases) and increased vulnerability to climate disasters. Rolling back clean air/water rules, defunding climate science, and promoting fossil fuels have further endangered communities.

It’s always disputed whether Trumps actions are legal, and I guess that’s not the point here after publishing this article, even though Trump goes against his own Supreme Court and his own Republican Congress at times. If he thinks he can get away with something, he usually tries it.  It’s just fact that Trump is bent in harming this country at our cost and at his own financial benefit.

But where does the far right wing of Trump’s base stand on this?  Out of touch with reality, I can quote one my friends, Scott K. stated the following in a recent text message…

“This country’s soul and liberty is based on the belief in God. Sadly now that Biden/Obama let millions of illegals in this country. I thank God every day that we now have a strong president to help clean this mess up”.

There he goes again. It’s all about Obama and Biden, even though Trump has been the president for the last two years, and he hasn’t kept most of his promises.

The only way to rid the mess created by Trump is to get him out of office, preferably sooner than later! Without question, another act of impeachment will come from the House when Democrats obtain majority once again, and if Democrats gain a majority in the Senate, it may just be all over for Trump.

This Age of Trump and What’s to Come

Presently, we live in the age of Donald Trump, a convicted felon, a rapist and a fraudster. Who elected this man? I sure didn’t. But my good friends did, all whom are Republicans. They actually voted for this sick piece of human being, like my friend Scott K.

I don’t blame them all. But I bet ALL have voters remorse after almost 2 years of his 2nd term and his absolutely sick representation as their President of the United States.

Two years to go and this trash will be out of the Whitehouse. It may be sooner because of his health. He will soon be a lame duck president, as soon as January 1 of 2027, when the new House and new Senate will be under new leadership by Democrats. Regardless of the game he’s playing now to take the vote away from the American people by jerrymandering districts in several states, the Republicans have NO CHANCE of winning the midterm elections or even the next Presidential election. The upcoming presidential election will be the 61st presidential election in U.S. history, with the winner scheduled to be inaugurated on January 20, 2029.

Donald Trump is their fearless leader, who works against his own party and…

We all know what’s coming… OVERSITE… OVERSITE, and more OVERSITE. Trump has been continuously attacking his political adversaries with his corrupt justice department, and where has that got him. It’s all going to come back and bite him. He appointed Pam Bondi and what happened to her. She’s about to lose her Bar license too. He fired her because she didn’t do every thing he wanted. So now he’s got Tod Blanche. How log will he last? He could lose his bar license also. But never fear, as the criminal in Donald Trump who pardoned the insurrectionists, will pardon every friend he believed he has. He’d try to pardon himself if he could, but that’s not going to happen. The question is whether Tod Blanche can even get confirmed. Blanche has too much baggage to get confirmed. I’ll elaborate my ideas here in another post.

And… Donald Trump is an impulsive liar. You can blame Trump’s incessive crimes and lies day after day on the Republican Supreme Court because he has immunity that no other president in U.S. history has had.

Thanks to Trump, what are we going to lose next? The Supreme Court is getting ready to vote on ‘Birthright Citizenship’. It’s been the law of the land since the creation of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1868, 158 years ago. Even this one-sided Republican Supreme Court most likely will not vote to eliminate Birthright Citizenship.
