Donald Trump does not have a single solitary concern about human life. How many times does he relate this fact when he tells you something or shows you something?
Yesterday, the Pentagon’s website listed 18 American service members killed in Donald Trump’s illegal, unconstitutional bullshit war with Iran, a war he stumbled into without a plan, without an exit strategy.
Four dead Americans were removed from the official casualty total. Imagine being one of their parents. You already survived the knock at the door. You already heard the words every military family spends a lifetime praying they’ll never hear. You already buried your child. You already stood beside a flag-draped coffin and somehow found the strength to walk away from it, knowing your son or daughter wasn’t walking away with you.
You wake up every morning carrying an absence that will never leave. There will always be an empty chair. Always another birthday where someone is missing. Always another holiday where grief quietly takes its seat before anyone else arrives. You don’t move on. You just learn to carry a weight no parent should ever have to carry. And while those parents, those brothers and sisters, those grandparents, those friends, those loved ones are trying to figure out how to survive the rest of their lives without someone they loved.
The Trump administration removed those four Americans from the official casualty total. Not because they aren’t dead, not because these soldiers didn’t make the ultimate sacrifice, but because acknowledging their death makes this war harder to defend.
It’s all about Trump, not the dead Americans. Donald Trump stood beside those flag-draped coffins. He saluted. He let the cameras roll. He used their dignified transfer to make himself look like a commander-in-chief. He wrapped himself in their sacrifice. Then they disappeared from the official count, because he cannot justify this war. So much for transparency! He cannot explain why Americans are still dying. He cannot admit that his so-called ceasefire didn’t stop the killing because he never had a strategy in the first place. He doesn’t show a single solitary concern about American life regardless if they are Iranian lives or American lives. He has no concern about the young men and women sends into harm’s way because of his crazy decisions. How many times does he have to tell you?
Here are the four names he eliminated from the official casualty total.
Tyler James Feehan
Isabella Gonzalez.
Angel S. Rampersad
Michael Emanuel Swinton
We should really be concerned. These four soldiers should not be dead. None of them signed up to fight a war that Trump actually already lost.
If Trump won, then why are we still there? Why are soldiers still dying? Why is there no exit strategy? If America won the war, then why are we still they and can’t walk away? It’s because Donald J. Trump didn’t consider the Strait of Hormuz and he didn’t consider that Iran could control it the way that they do. America is the laughing stock of the world, thanks to the criminal felon President Donald J. Trump.
Prior Presidents war-gamed this exact scenario in the past. All past presidents knew how Iran could control the strait if they needed to. They are making a statement here. No matter how long Trump decides to put his troops into harms way, they will not back down. They still have air power in the form of missiles. Whenever Trump decides to further annihilate the country of Iran by killing their citizens which incidentally is a war crime, Iran elects to launch these missiles at American Air bases and of our allies. The war will not stop until Trump stops.
Our soldiers will continue to die. You can erase their names from a government website, but you can’t erase it from the hearts that break every single day because they’re gone. You can never erase the price those families will pay for the rest of their lives.
